Play Date

On Friday we were so excited to have our friends Courtney Shane, Devin, Luke, and Suzanne out to visit! The boys were so much fun, very polite, and loved climing the stairs and looking for the cat, who was hiding in the crawlspace. We had a few snacks before heading out to explore the bogs. But first, Penelope of course had to win over the boys' attention. The proud Mommas & I were so impressed with how gentle and affectionate the boys were with her. Luke especially gave her lots of kisses!

There was a lot to see, but I think Devin had his eye on a tractor sitting out across the fields. We took a nice walk, checked out the cranberries, and the Mommas & I enjoyed catching up & planning more visits. By the end of this one, everybody felt ready for a NAP - especially Penelope!!

Cranberry Harvest

These pictures give an idea of the cranberry harvest we experienced for the first time...not our bog, but the one behind it gave a beautiful sight about 2 weeks ago...the bog was flooded & the workers pushed the cranberries to the edges of the bog & they were extracted through a machine & loaded into the back of the truck (picture of the berries in truck).

The other pictures give an idea of our current kitchen state. Countertops on the way this Wednesday & Plumber hopefully by the weekend. Bill & I are very excited about the completion of this project.

election eve

Well, she writes...actually, she rewrites (more on that later). While her husband fires the nail gun attached to the compressor & 'swears in' the downstairs baseboards, she blindly attempts to start a family blog. It is 'election eve' & we are 'at home'. Brace yourselves.
